Flying Club News 17th December

An interesting last couple of days up here, we have had a film crew making a program for Auntie beeb, I have to say it has been great to be around the people I spent the years before I came to Enstone again.
The new engine has been fitted to the Enstone truck again, but it does sound like a Russian tractor, but they say it should settle down eventually.
Not much time left for crimbo preparations and we shall be closed on crimble day unless there is a bottle of 25year old Macallan on my desk (unopened) on crimble eve. Boxing day if there are no bookings by 12.00 on Friday 24th we shall also be closed. Monday 27th we are back to as normal as we ever get!!!
Membership renewals are due by the 31st if you want to save some dosh, see below.

RAF Enstone booklet
Nick Hook, has put together a short booklet on the history of Enstone, a good little read and a great stocking filler for anyone with an interest in the fabulous site. The great thing is that all the proceeds from the £3.50 go to my favourite charity The Royal British Legion. This was made possible by the generous support of members Asger and Mandy Eriksen. Hurrah to them both
The booklet is for sale on the front desk in the entrance lobby and on the web site. shop.

G-BTUW
if the unmentionable stuff is with us this weekend then UW will be back next week. Hurrah
