Flying Club News 23rd April

well we survived the ash, but were stuck with poor vis for most of this last week, but it looks like the unmentionable stuff is......................oops nearly.
The good news is that most of the fleet is back on line and there is good aircraft availability and instructors for the weekend.
Just over a week of training at Enstone and we have our first solo from Rob Maguire Hurrah and congratulations to Rob.

Road works
with the unmentionable stuff behaving itself we should be able to start work on the access road. We will need volunteers to help clear the debris ready for the new concrete. Here is your chance to make a real difference, as usual lunch will be provided to those volunteering.

Egg boxes
the popularity of the C flight's produce knows no bounds, but we could do with the egg boxes being returned for recycling or if you have a stash of egg boxes we could usefully do with some more. The consensus is that the eggs are really good and are readily available.

Flying Club News 16th April

Not sure if you have missed the weekly ramblings but by the turn out for the easter egg hunt, I guess that not many of you actually read them! Hey ho! we do try to keep a calendar of events for everyone, but if there is no interest then we will stop offering them.

Training from Enstone

From the 14th April we are no longer required to visit Wellesbourne to conduct training  Our first new student will commence their training from Enstone today Hurrah!

Onwards and Upwards

If you look up there are no contrails in the sky for the first time, but we are still flying. With most other major airports closed and no IFR flights permitted then the sky is ours! Tomorrow is the Duxford open day if you are planning to go you need to book a slot time with Duxford.

Gill McNeil

Gill McNeil has completed her flight instructor course Hurrah! All Gill has to do now is her CPL practical and join the EFC instructional team.

Egg boxes

the popularity of the C flight's produce knows no bounds, but we could do with the egg boxes being returned for recycling or if you have a stash of egg boxes we could usefully do with some more. The consensus is that the eggs are really good and are readily available.

Oxford Brookes market research team

Gold team have approached a number of current PPL students for their input to help with our future marketing campaigns. If those of you that have been approached could complete those questionnaires and return them by close of business on Saturday that would help the team and the club immensely. This is the last part of the project and they will be presenting their findings at Oxford Brookes in May, my personal thanks to everyone that was involved and helped Gold team.

Flyout Calendar April 17th Duxford

IWM Duxford is holding a "safety bonus day" bit like a CAA safety evening but with a few other presentations, always a good idea to keep yourself up to date with safety matters and you can fly or drive in for FREE you have to prebook with Duxford. Click here for information
