Flying Club News 12th March

With the unmentionable stuff behaving itself(apart from today) and the first signs of spring showing on the airfield, what else could make it any better?
An opportunity from those fine fellows at Gatwick to update your chart!!! Hurrah I here you cry, just what I needed another means of spending £15.99!
You can pick them up from the club house you should have issue 36 2010 next time you fly any aircraft. Friendly as the CAA are, they do take a dim view of pilots flying with out of date charts!
Is there no end to the good news.......well no! OPEC in their infinite wisdom have decided that the price of AVGas should go up, even though the price of crude is lower that it was last year, market forces(or profiteering as we call it) have forced the price of AVGas up... what green shoots!! We will not depress you with the price here!

Focus Group
following on from the visit by the Marketing students, they still need a couple more members to join the focus group team. They need at least 6 to make it work and have 5 confirmed for the first meeting on the 20th March at the club house. If you would like to help them and the club out by joining please let me know by e-mail skipper@enstoneflyingclub.co.uk

A little bit of HEVN for sale G-HEVN Group forming
Clearly you know a good thing when you see it, six members have expressed interest and we will be holding a meeting to talk through the possibilities and costs. If you would like to come along drop us an e-mail skipper@enstoneflyingclub.co.uk Here is the idea thus far.
We are looking to form a small group 4/5 shares in this beautiful aircraft, the plan would be to still use it as a club aircraft and the group members would benefit from the club utilization keeping the running costs down. with 5 shares the cost would be around £15k each. Let us know if you would be interested but you will have to move quickly.

"My son Harry (9) is in a rock band competition. The band with the most downloads of their song by this Friday wins some recording equipment"

Sadly Harry's band came second, we suspect there was some dodgy downloading going on!!

But thanks for all of those that helped by downloading the track

Flying Club News 5th March

Yet  another successful pilots in the pub last night with a difference  "gold team" from Oxford Brookes Uni were conducting a survey and asking for a focus group volunteers. We hope that the results from their efforts will help target our marketing more successfully and give existing members an even better service! A big thank you to everyone who took part in the questionnaire and volunteered to join the focus group.

What a week it has been on the unmentionable front, absolutely fantastic all we need now is a little less wind from the north and it will be "short sleeve order"

My son Harry (9) is in a rock band competition. The band with the most downloads of their song by this Friday wins some recording equipment.

Please click on this link and download his bands song - they are called The Reaper and the song is called "Souls of the Lost" - Harry is the guitarist in the band.

You can download the song up to 3 times PER COMPUTER/DEVICE   before being disqualified for cheating!

The download is free, you don't even have to listen to it!

http://www.kerchoonz.com/witchwoodrecords

At the moment they are 20 downloads behind first place - we just need a few more downloads to win!

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Mark Bronsen   It takes about 3 minutes to download at the club and we have slow broadband!!!
